Cybersecurity is Everyone’s Job but the thought leaders and cyber security experts that know how we need to act in cyberspace do not have the communication training necessary to permanently change the cyber hygiene of workforce. We cannot lecture the public, we will just be tuned out. For us to be effective, something has to change.

Here is Sidd Chopra’s plea to the Federal Information Systems Security Educators Association (FISSEA) at their 32nd Annual conference, hosted at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) headquarters.

“Entertaining and profoundly disturbingly correct”

“Father of the Internet” & Google VP & Chief Internet Evangelist, Dr. Vint Cerf
Recipient of ~30 medals including the National Medal of Technology, the Turing Award, the Presidential Medal of Freedom

FISSEA is a forum for Federal Information Security Educators to share information, effective practices, and solutions regarding cybersecurity awareness, training, and industry-recognized certifications for the federal cybersecurity workforce.

Special thanks to Steve Hernandez, Chief Information Security Officer, US Department of Education for entrusting me with his $20 bill and to the US Department of Treasury officials for not arresting me on the spot.
