Cyber Hygiene and the Arts Project
Problem: We are losing a $2 trillion dollar war with cybercriminals that are targeting the very fabric of society and the public not only doesn’t know how to protect themselves, many aren’t even aware that they are targets.
NICE Workforce WG Objective: Increase consumption of “Cybersecurity is Everyone’s Job” guide
Program Goal: Increase the cyber hygiene of the workforce.
Target Audience: US Workforce
Limitations: No funding from NICE, NIST
Strategy: Apply advance neuroscience, cognitive psychology, & behavior science in a program that joins artists with security experts and community leaders to come up with more compelling ways to change our cyber hygiene.
Too often, we at NICE are preaching to the choir, we need to create more choirs. Can an arts driven approach improve the effectiveness, persuasiveness & reach of good cyber hygiene?
- Increased awareness to multiple communities
- Tested messaging tailored to multiple communities
- Recruitment of associates highly talented in areas not typically found in IT professionals
- Increased engagement
- Testing of NICE content
- Increasing our repository of compelling of content for various audiences
- Testing Gov., Assoc., Business, Education & Arts collaboration
